He has to have something right? Ok it might not be Dubya but he's got dirt on somebody for sure! Your boy Mike Brown has been REHIRED as a consultant to FEMA. He was apparently rehired under the "Blind leading the Blind" policy of the Bush Administration.
I wish I were making this up.
Brown is continuing to work at the Federal Emergency Management Agency at full pay, his resignation not taking effect for at least another two weeks. During that time, Brown will according to a statement from The Homeland Security office " advise the department on "some of his views on his experience with Katrina," as he transitions out of his job." Which seems to indicate that Brown is merely continuing to do whatever the hell it is he did before the hurricane until he can roll out with his severance package and proceed to vacation for the next few months.
The reason he will remain at FEMA about a month after his resignation, said the spokesman, is that the agency wants to get the "proper download of his experience."
Note to FEMA: The download is corrupt. Force quit. NOW.
Don't get me wrong I can't hate on Mike Brown. I actually kind of admire him. Because just like Mike Brown I don't do much on my job either. So when it comes to getting over on your boss I can only say one thing: Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job.
But seriously folks, your boy GWB has about 3 years and 4 months before we are through with him. Can you imagine the incompetent nonsense that is going to happen in that time? What I don't get is why nobody is stepping up and calling this whole administration out? I think we should start a petition to force the Bush twins into the military and dropped them out of a plane into downtown Baghdad. Do you think Dubya would pull all the troops out then? I think Mike Brown should be forced to finish out his transition period volunteering in the New Orleans cleanup and being made to sleep on a cot at night so that maybe he can see what those people are going through because of his incompetence. Unfortunately I can not type in this space the things I would like to have done to GWB because I am quite sure that I could be arrested but I think you get the point.
There are no words for this level of cronyism and ineptitude. 3.5 more years? I need a drink.

Yeah, there is definitely something suspicious about this whole mess. I remember after Bush was re-elected, I tried to ease my own pain by saying, "you know, at least he has four more years to start cleaning up some of the messes he's made." Guess not, huh?
Hey now, I think Bush will do enough to appease everybody in the 3.5 years he has left...

Don't get me wrong - I hate Mr. Brown. But think of it this way - Brownie held an executive level position that he did not even qualify for, and now the Republicans are probably patting him on his back for taking one for the boss, and he is telling Congress (paid, but the way) that "it was those country hicks in La that messed everything up." He points to Miss. and Florida and says, "See, these folks didn't screw up." Talk about deflecting the fire.

we cant "win" this war in iraq, as we couldnt in korea, vietnam, or anyplace we strive to use the "new" politically correct, un sanctioned war game mentality.....war is brutal....we should have gone in early nineties with bush senior and killed saddam, ( we did have to do something. couldnt let a tyrant continue after killing over 500,000 people, many of them his own countrymen ) rather than try to reconstruct a country that hates us....why do we not revolt in this country, say ENOUGH of giving BILLIONS of dollars to countries that HATE us, that conspire to abuse our giving......
most of us blogging work hard for a living, or our spouses do while we work hard instilling values and ethics in our children....to see politicians piss our money away....i have a son in the military, home safe now, as well as a good friend here, 23, young child left behind when he was ambushed in iraq. war is horrible...we have to forget about how much "collateral damage" we inflict, and end this by getting out with a warning to every dictator that we will not try to rule their counry, but we will kick your ass and hang you high if you persist in being a murderer and a coward....only way i know to solve this growing evil
change of rant....lol...katrina fiasco......all incompetent, from our mayor, to our grandmotherly governer...but the real anger is toward the feds...brown blaming us....said 10 billion was spent the first weeks, and i wonder WHERE is the money being spent...we have over 4000 evacuess here in town, the ones who genuinely want to begin a new life have found jobs, housing, schools all open arms, but over a 1/3 of the ones who came had extensive criminal histories, many already arrested for theft and other intrusive crimes....over 30 sex offenders were brought up without being identified....two arrested while in the large well planned long term shelter....
i have 5 family members from south louisiana and southern miss that are homeless, homes destroyed, two without flood insurance, yet they are productive, working families....will rebuild...our human spirit and tenacity is amazing! thanks to all of you who gave, who care and who reach out to those in need...FUCK giving billions to those who despise us....lets begin rebuilding this country....we are all fellow americans, and brothers and sisters.
contrary to brown nose, oops, my brown, we are not all hicks and rubes in louisiana...great culture, great hospitality, great history, and a beautiful state.....last note of politics...did you know that congressmen get a lifetime retirement, very lucrative at that, even if serving only short term.....what happened to being "public servants".
