Ok so everybody knows I like to do different things with this blog. I don't want to do the cookie cutter thing. So as I sat back and analyzed my readers and also thought of ideas I came up with something I thought might be interesting. Now GP always tells me to not think so big and it's the small stuff people like but I'm hard headed and so I'm going to try this anyway.
I like writing and someone suggested to me yesterday that I should write a screenplay or an episode of a television show. They gave me tips as to how to get started and so I'm going to try it with this post. I would love any constructive criticism you guys have or you can just tell me how great I am. Either way works for me. Have I built up enough excitement? Good.
I am going to write a series of stories for my blog which I'm hoping is going to read something like a soap opera or a blog version of what they do on Tom Joyner's show every morning. I'm going to try to flesh out the story as I go and hopefully I can give 2 or 3 "episodes" a week(You do realize that you can't hold me to that right?). Ok so here is my first story. Remember I am just getting started and I am going to develop more characters and stories as I go.
Welcome to King's Island. A city that has a 98% african american population. The sun shines bright here and it is reflected in the attitudes of the residents. The very affluent Knox family own most of the property on the island and we will take a look into the youngest son Jaloni in today's episode....
Jaloni's longtime girlfriend, Mia, is pressuring him to take their relationship to the next level - engagement and marriage. Mia believes Jaloni is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with. Jaloni's not sure he ready for such a permanent long term committment with Mia. She's a great woman. She's ambitious, caring, supportive and fun to be around. In fact, she's dang near perfect but she's too available for someone like Jaloni. He's still looking for a challenge. All his life he's had to fight for the things he's wanted and with women it's no different. He's developed conqueror's mentality.
Jaloni starts an innocent flirtation with a new co-worker, Trenyce, that heats up when he moves in Mia. Trenyce is the type of woman that loves an unavailabe man. She enjoys using her feminine wiles to lure men into her trap.
Jaloni is taken with Trenyce. She reminds him of the type woman that used to play him in his younger years. When she starts to hint that she wants more from him than an playful, flirty office courtship he takes the bait....

Typical? Yeah, maybe...unless you throw in a really unexpected twist ... something totally from left field.
Well it's going to be an ongoing thing so the twists and things like that will come. First I have to work on my character development.

I like the plot. There is a whole bunch of Mia's in this world. And it seems it will be fun reading it from a male's perspective.

I don't think it's a rule that people here don't listen to that station. I've heard some people listen to it. Some people like B-more music. The King doesn't listen to that crap though!
Now back to the comments. If the comments get off subject of the post let's try to keep them all inclusive. We don't need the drama but a conversation between 2 people isn't exactly that appealing to everybody else.

I don't mind it GP. That's what I'm saying. Just try to keep it inclusive. I was gone to lunch and when I came back it was basically 2 people talking but I have about 250 people currently reading my blog. That's odd to me. Again I don't mind it because you guys keep me awake but let's try to make this a team effort. And if you're one of the people who are just looking and not participating then don't complain.

Every time I hear a Bmore song I always think it's a prank song or something. It's just sad. Go-Go sucks too. I'm an equal opportunity hater. :)
but whats crazy is that the entire country is starting to get hip to club music.. everywhere i go... i hear old school club.. especially the perculater (sp)
now it could be a prank song if you are listening to 92q in the morning...breakfast flakes...but club music gets me hyped...

Well I think it's best to write about what you know. So yeah I think aspects of my life will seep into the stories and some of the stuff I read on you guys blogs and the comments you guys give here. You all are going to be the females in these stories. There are so many different types of personalities that visit me over here. It should be fun.
Are we going to get commission for giving you ideas?

I can't tell you who I may or may not be! I'm sure it won't be hard to figure out but it's still up to you the reader to figure it out.
No TTD if you posted an interesting story or experience on your blog and I just so happen to write something similar that's not my fault. Besides I don't think any of this is copywritten. LOL

i think it sounds good. familiar is good cuz it brings in the folk. then you can twist the plot once you've reeled them in.

Ok I just got back from watching Dave Chapelle on Oprah. I think he really went crazy.
Anyway Cool the people are from King's Island. It's a mixture of all the places you mentioned. Some will be young professionals and some will be bums. It will range.

Interesting story. Nice little prelude to what's to come. This could get as wild and ridiculous as any soap opera and ghetto too, so it should be interesting for you to write and for your readers to read. I hope to stop through and catch up on what's going on from time to time. Grace and Peace.
