Welcome to MY KINGDOM. Here you will be privy to the private thoughts, rants, and observations of the good King Ddot. You can thank me later. I hope you will enjoy youself and as always RECOGNIZE THE KING...
ddot: I want to tell you a story. I was in college, and a friend of mine was exhibiting "suicidal tendencies." He was giving stuff away to friends ("you have always liked this sweater, and I want you to have it", I liked to borrow his sweaters). He, at first was depressed, then very happy (a sign he had made the decision to kill himself, and once the decision was made, he was happy - situation resolved in his head).
A girlfriend and I made the intervention. We asked him if he wanted to kill himself - and matter-of-factly, he said "yes." Sort of an oh-crap moment.
Your post yesterday seemed to me and perhaps others as a cry for help. It could have been you "pulling our chains," but that does not seem like you at all.
From recent posts, you have felt the pressure (not sure if that is the right word) of blogging. I am in a lull myself - actually I enjoyed writing my current entry, but that is beside the point.
If you are hurting, cut the crap and get help. We can't do an intervention virtually. Can't hug, can't cry together, or whatever it would be.
You are a very talented writer, and you seem like a very likable person as well. Some things may not have gone your way (your child that you don't get to see, for instance).
I have done a lot of crap in my life, and I have contemplated slitting my wrists in the bathtub (what a hell of a ring that would leave). But things get better. They always do.
And you owe it to yourself to finish the hand you were dealt. How many cards do you want? One through four cards. But you have to keep at least one.

Howdy. Welcome back. Can we assume you are alive, or do they allow blogging from the afterlife?
Thank you for being O.K. !!
